- Create weekly social media posts and submit to EAS Undergraduate Coordinator for approval and posting
- Meet with EAS Coordinator once (either in-person or via Zoom) at the start of Fellowship, and be available for periodic email communication thereafter

Description:
The EAS Undergraduate Outreach Fellow (Fall or Spring Semester) receives an hourly rate of [$TBD/hr] for assisting with Concentration outreach. This includes creating engaging, original social media content for the EAS Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as physical postering for EAS courses (leading up to course registration) and events (as needed) during the semester. Optionally, it may also involve co-representing EAS at events such as Academic Fairs, or assisting in the planning of social and academic events. The Fellow is expected to create roughly one social media post per week during the semester, although posting may be more or less concentrated during busier/slower times.
Outreach Fellows may choose to create a social media “campaign” for the semester (see “Study Abroad Stories,” “What’s in Your Tote,” and “Mugshots” campaigns of the past), or may instead choose to do unrelated standalone posts each time.
The Fellow will be credited for all content they create. Content must be reviewed by the EAS Coordinator before posting. Keep in mind an audience of both Harvard affiliates and the general public, and keep posts appropriate for all of the above (e.g. do not post invitations to events or lectures unless they are open to the public). Above all, we want to showcase and celebrate the academic and social life of the East Asian Studies community at Harvard!
Responsibilities:
- Brainstorm engaging original content to represent the social and academic life of undergraduate East Asian Studies and/or East Asian Language study at Harvard
- Create social media posts (average of one per week) and submit to EAS Coordinator for review/posting
